The project is coordinated by the Ministry for the Coordination of Environmental Affairs and jointly implemented with the Ministry of Agriculture with the technical backstopping of the Food and Agriculture Organization and the financial support of the Governments of Japan (90%) and The Netherlands (10%).

The Project is supervised by a National Steering Committee whose members meet every fourth month.

An independent project monitoring is undertaken based on ad hoc missions by Pesticide Action Network with the support of a national observer Livaningo. Both NGOs work jointly with the Project Management Unit to ensure a highest level of safety for the implementation of the project. Each mission is documented by a public monitoring report.
